Wales Gene Park is funded by the Welsh Government. Hosted by the Division of Cancer and Genetics (DCG) at Cardiff University (CU) School of Medicine, Wales Gene Park supports and promotes genetic and genomic research across Wales, thereby aiding the implementation of the Welsh Government’s Genomics Delivery Plan 2022-25.
The Wales Gene Park mission is to support and promote medical genetic and genomic research and its application to healthcare in priority areas identified by the Welsh Government, in order to improve health and wealth in Wales, and engage the public and health professionals to improve understanding of the opportunities and challenges that arise.
